Today IK Multimedia released a pretty amazing new app for iPhone and iPod Touch – GrooveMaker. Even non-musicians can compose original scores, background music beds and, of course, dance grooves with this app and one of the above-mentioned Apple devices.
I was privileged to have given a personal demo of the app. The cool thing is you have literally millions of loop combinations available at your fingertips. After you create your masterpiece, you can export it as a full .wav file — no compressed .mp3 limitations here. The first app is free; subsequent packs are available for $9.99.
It’s all available now in the iTunes store. If you create multimedia projects and are already an iPhone user, I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t have this. I’m really looking forward to downloading and playing with it myself.
