The Rocky Mountain News’ forced closure is more than sad. I wanted to point you to an emotional video produced by the Rocky about its own demise. It was begun Dec. 4, when parent company Scripps announced they were putting the Rocky for sale. It was finished overnight last night, hours after Scripps announced it was closing the newspaper after 149 years and 311 days in business. I don’t know who did the music, but it’s quite nice – unobtrusive, not too morbid, not too treacly. But it definitely sets the mood.
