I wanted to draw your attention to multimedia designer Desiree Perry’s blog post on the upcoming computer animation and interactive graphics seminar put on by a group called SIGGraph. This year, the 35-year-old group is placing special emphasis on music and its role in advanced animation design. Why? This is from the group’s website:
* Audiences absorb visual stories as complete experiences, so integration of the visual and audio components is critical.
* Multimodal communication and interaction can enhance or surpass visual-only experiences.
* Creating and editing music and audio define an important area of study in interactive techniques.
